The task

The company had no website before. The task: build a simple site quickly in plain code, with no CMS or site builder, so that clients can learn about the services and leave a request. The site is in Russian, English and Chinese.

What we did

  1. We analysed the competitors’ market and the needs of the target audience in depth.
  2. Built a structure of nine sections on one page: about, advantages, services, FAQ, gallery, reviews, careers, request, contacts.
  3. Described six services: delivery from China, purchasing goods, cargo insurance, delivery from the EU and Asia, oversized and multimodal freight.
  4. Wrote the site in HTML, CSS and a small script, with no CMS, site builder or external libraries.
  5. Added three languages: Russian, English, Chinese.
  6. Put a request button in the header and on the first screen, with the form in its own section.

Project highlights

The specific solutions we built, and why.

  1. Plain code, no CMS or site builder

    What we built
The site is made of HTML, CSS and one small script, with no engine, plugins or external libraries.
The tilog.by measurement card: page weight 318 KB, blocking time 0 ms, layout shift 0, tags HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    Why
The task was a quick launch of a simple site. Plain code needs no engine or plugin updates, so there is nothing to break.
    What it gives
The page weighs 318 KB on mobile, the main thread is not blocked (TBT 0 ms), the layout does not shift (CLS 0).
  2. One page with anchors

    What we built
Nine sections on one page, the menu links to them with anchors: about, advantages, services, FAQ, gallery, reviews, careers, request, contacts.
    Why
A company with no website needs to show everything important at once, without making the visitor hunt across pages.
    What it gives
The client scrolls from one screen to the next and can return to the request from the menu at any time.
  3. Three languages: Russian, English, Chinese

    What we built
An RU / EN / 中文 switch in the header.
    Why
The company ships cargo from China and works with partners in Asia; some counterparties read English and Chinese.
    What it gives
The information can be shown to a counterparty in their own language.
  4. A clear first screen

    What we built
The heading “Reliable supplies from China”, the line “China · Asia · Europe · CIS”, two buttons (“Leave a request” and “View services”) and three badges: Sea · Air · Rail, Cargo Insurance, 100% Tracking.
The first screen of tilog.by: the heading, two buttons and the Sea, Air, Rail, Cargo Insurance, 100% Tracking badges
    Why
A visitor should understand within seconds what the company does and what to do next.
    What it gives
The main action, a request, is available from the first screen.
  5. Questions and answers

    What we built
A “Frequently asked questions” section with nine expandable answers.
    Why
A logistics client comes with typical questions about timelines, terms and documents.
    What it gives
Some questions are answered before the conversation with a manager.

A word from the team

The main thing was not to overcomplicate. The site opens instantly and immediately explains what the company does and how to leave a request. Everything else can be added later.

Thank you to the client

The client gave us complete carte blanche and a minimum of introductory information! The speed of implementation and launch was what mattered. We look forward to working together again :)

A word from the client

They did it very quickly and clearly, had a conversation, found out what I wanted, signed the papers and delivered the result.

What we would do differently

Launch speed came first, so a few things were left for later.

  • If time had allowed, we would have optimized the site for PageSpeed further.

About the service

We build websites that explain the product clearly and bring requests: from market analysis and design to launch and analytics.
